Greetings to our Clergy Friends!
Our first few months have been eventful, and rewarding. Among the highest of the rewards has been the privilege of visiting many, many churches to explain our method of raising the bar.
Our practice of taking a back seat in funeral gatherings has surprised many of you. It’s one thing to say it, and another thing to see it work. One pastor was quite taken back as Bruce Watkins said, “You can do almost anything, we just provide the license, and make sure you keep within the law.”
We commend churches for adapting to what people want with funerals. In today’s “modern” world people express themselves more openly. People are more outspoken. Music plays a different role. Marriage vows and funeral rites are changing. It’s very interesting to observe, and to assist.
Finally, this month we would like to recognize the Aldersgate Free Methodist Church in Kansas City, KS who hosted a superb church funeral for one of their own, Reverend Alfred Miller. We were pleased to meet many leaders from Kansas and Missouri who came to honor their colleague.
