Prices are effective as of July 1, 2008, but are subject to change without notice.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for the basic services of our funeral directors and staff. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF
BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF……………………. $650.00
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
The Basic Services include our usual overhead, personnel available to serve you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; arrangement conference; coordination of plans for service with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; clerical services to complete various forms associated with a funeral; securing and recording the death certificate and any authorization and permits, as necessary.
LIMITED SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF………………….. $350.00
Sometimes we reduce the “Basic” charges referred to above. Example #1: If your family transfers your case completely to us, from another local provider of funeral services who has completed some or most of the work, we may charge this limited fee. Example #2: Whenever a family asks us to coordinate with another local funeral provider in providing a funeral or memorial service for a loved one, we may charge the limited fee to avoid at least some of the duplication of fees that might occur.
PREPARATION
Except in certain special cases law does not require embalming. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

USE OF FACILITIES AND STAFF
OUR FACILITIES are not specifically used for traditional funeral services or public visitations. As our name implies, we encourage families to gather at their Church, home, or other comfortable places.
The following charges do not include any additional fees levied by the places of gathering.
Our staff will help with a TRADITIONAL VISITATION for up to two hours at Church,
home or other facility on days other than the funeral, memorial or graveside services. We
will assist and advise the Church and family with setting up the visitation area, displaying
encased remains, placing flowers and helping visitors feel welcome and comfortable as
requested. (The time it takes to travel to and from the visitation and for set-up is not

If more time is needed we require a stipend per half-hour of………………………. $50.00
Our staff will help with a PRE-SERVICE VISITATION for up to one hour at the Church,

This includes removal of remains, basic service of funeral director staff, necessary authorizations, embalming, use of preparation room, service vehicle and transportation to local airport or other place of shipment within a 40-mile radius (excluding shipping charges and shipping container). This charge does not include visitations or funeral services or memorial services. This charge applies to shipment within the continental U. S. only.
RECEIVING REMAINS FROM ANOTHER (non-local) FUNERAL HOME……. $600.00
This charge includes limited services of funeral director and staff, transportation from local airport or other shipping destination within a 40-mile radius, service vehicle and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory. This charge does not include visitations or funeral services or memorial services.
DIRECT CREMATION (no traditional gatherings)………………………. $850.00 to $1,295.00
This fee includes the basic services of funeral director and staff, and the crematory fee. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use a body bag (minimal container), an alternative container or even a full grade wooden casket, absent metal parts. Alternative containers can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). We provide all of the above choices. See descriptions below for the most frequent choices.

Our staff will arrange for an immediate burial (without any visitation, funeral service or memorial service and family not present at interment). Includes removal of remains, refrigeration, and basic services of funeral director and staff. This price does not include the cost of caskets, alternative containers, grave-vaults, etc., each of which may be subject to cemetery or neighborhood rules or regulations.
Our staff will assist families with certain paperwork (including at least social security notification, veterans affairs, death certificates and obituaries) when the deceased asks to have his or her body donated to science. This selection includes our involvement (time) comparable to the limited services of funeral director and staff (per description on p. 2), and the removal, and transportation to receiving local facility (i.e. KU Medical Center).
